Badmaash Restaurant Review

So I had the pleasure of dining at Badmaash in Downtown Los Angeles! Brothers Nakul and Arjun Mahendro, along with their father (and executive chef) Pawan own and operate the restaurant. I've always had an extra special place in my heart for anything that is family owned! They serve traditional Indian dishes and have some fun must try fusion items!!! I had their Chicken Tikka Poutine, Fried Butter Chicken and of course the Chai!!! All of the food was so delicious and they had some cool Ghandi and Indian inspired artwork all over the restaurant! Perfect for some fun Instagram pics!!! I definitely recommend you go check this spot out! You can't go wrong with delicious food and awesome service!

Chicken Tikka Poutine

The family perfectly combined their Canadian and Indian heritage with this deliciously fun fusion dish! I'm already a major sucker for fries, but fries seasoned with Indian spices???!!! Dead. I could have eaten a whole plate of the crispy spiced fries alone! It gets even better though! They top the masala fries with a hearty beef gravy, cheese curds, juicy flavor packed pieces of chicken tikka all topped with a little cilantro!!! I was in absolute heaven as I quickly devoured this! I will definitely come back to eat this!!!

Fried Butter Chicken Sammich

This is another popular fusion item! I absolutely loved this fun spin on Butter Chicken! They take a traditional southern fried chicken sandwich and smother the fried chicken with butter chicken sauce!!! My mouth is literally watering as I'm typing lol! The butter chicken sauce was delicious, the pickle and lettuce added a nice fresh crunch and the toasted bun perfectly soaked in the butter chicken sauce! Can't wait to eat this sammich again!!!

Chai

Of course I had to end the meal with my favorite drink of all time - Chai!!! Their chai was perfect! It was rich in flavor and just the right sweetness! They served the chai in little caddys exactly like the ones you'd be served with in India by the Chaiwalas!!! This was a really sweet touch and detail I appreciated! Yes, I would come back for their chai too!!!

I really enjoyed my dining experience at Badmaash and have already been recommending it to friends and family! It's the perfect spot to satisfy your traditional Indian food cravings and the fusion items offer fun options for more adventurous diners!!! I'm looking forward to going back to try more of their delicious food!!!
